Zonta Club of Concord NH
Advocacy
Zonta works toward and advocates for a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

We follow proposed legislation affecting equal rights and the status of women. Our club partners with like-minded organizations locally, and at the national and international level.
Zonta International is a non-governmental organization with consultative status at the United Nations and participates in the annual meetings of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.

Current areas of focus for our club include:
-
Raising the marriage age to 18
-
Raising awareness to end gender-based violence
Political,
Non-Partisan
Our advocacy work is political, but we are non-partisan.
