Zonta Club of Concord now accepting SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

“ZONTA” is derived from a Lakhota (Teton Dakota), a language of the Native-American Sioux peoples, meaning “honest and trustworthy”.  It was adopted in 1919 to symbolize the combined qualities of honesty and trust, inspiration, and the ability to work together for service and world understanding.

Our Vision

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

 

Zonta Club of Concord NH

The Zonta Club of Concord is affiliated with a worldwide service organization of successful professionals from all walks of life working together to improve the status of women and girls. The organization is focused on service and was chartered in 1959. It is part of Zonta International, District 1, Area 1. Zonta members volunteer time, talents and provide resources to local and international service projects, as well as to scholarship and award programs aimed at furthering women’s education, leadership and youth development.
