JANE M. KLAUSMAN WOMEN IN BUSINESS: awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in Business Management. This program operates at the Zonta Club, District/Region and International levels.
We are so honored to present the New American Merit Award to Claudine Umurutasate. After only two years at Concord High School, Claudine has become the first English language learner to be invited to join the national Honor Society! She will attend Keene State College in the Fall with the goal of becoming a nurse. We are honored to be part of her journey to change the world!
The NEW AMERICAN’S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM at Concord High School: awarded annually to a young woman in her senior year of high school who demonstrates endurance and commitment to advance herself and her development of leadership skills. She must have entered the Concord, NH school system as a refugee or asylee; been accepted to continue her education beyond high school; and have demonstrated responsibility for her family and community.
The YOUNG WOMEN IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS AWARD: awarded annually to a young woman between the ages of 16 and 19 who demonstrates a commitment to leadership in public policy, government and volunteer organizations.
The ZONTA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AT NHTI, CONCORD’S COMMUNITY COLLEGE: awarded annually to female students who have returned to school after being out of school for at least five years; completed 12 college credit hours prior to being admitted into a degree program at NHTI; and has a 2.5 GPA or higher.
